How to use Kanten Stick?
Soften Kanten Stick:
Wash and soak in water for 10 mins. Squeeze the kanten to drain off excess water thoroughly. Break the kanten into small pieces by hands and use as a topping.
Dissolve Kanten Stick to use as a coagulation agent:
Wash and soak in water for 30 mins. Lightly squeeze the kanten to drain off the water. Break the kanten into smaller pieces and boil with water until completely dissolved (for 5-6mins). The amount of water to be used will depend on the desired firmness of the gel.
Dried Kanten Stick as topping;
Add dried kanten stick to soups or sauces directly. Cut them to small cubes or break by hands, and then top the kanen on soups or sauces. Enjoy the crunchy texture or stir the kanten for 15-20 seconds. Allow the kanten to absorb the liquid until it becomes the desired texture. #vegancroutons
