Matcha Kanten Jelly Milk (抹茶寒天ミルク)

Introducing Kanten jelly-type drink recipe part.2
- Loosen Matcha Kanten Jelly Milk-


Let's drink sweet Kanten jelly with a bubble tea straw.
As you can check the jelly-type drink part.1 through here, you can enjoy both drinking and eating a Kanten jelly-type drink at the same time like bubble teas.
The big differences between bubble teas and Kanten jelly-type drink are the total calories and their texture. You don't need to feel guilty when you enjoy Kanten jelly-type drinks no matter what time of day (or night).


Kanten itself has no calories, but its 80% dietary fibre content gives you a sense of fullness, while also controlling blood sugar level.

So, why don't you stock up your fridge with healthy homemade Kanten jelly drinks instead of ordering expensive drinks from bubble tea shops?!

[Pre-preparations]

★Take matcha powder to a tea strainer and sift matcha with a spoon.
It is an important step that you don't want to skip, otherwise you have clumps of matcha in the milk.
★Sit milk out from the fridge to keep it at room tempreture, or warm up a little (we usually worms it up for 20 seconds in microwave).

[Ingredients]

-Kanten Powder (粉寒天) 2g
-Water (水) 500ml
-Sugar (砂糖) 50-60g
 *You can adjust sweetness. (甘さはお好みでご調整ください。)
*Milk, Oat milk or Soy milk (牛乳、オートミルク又は豆乳)
*Brown sugar syrup (黒蜜)
[Instructions]
1. In a pan, mix water and Kanten powder.
2. Boil the mix(1.) for at least 2 minutes until Kanten is completely dissolved.  Please continue stirring while boiling.
3. Turn down the heat, add sugar and stir well. 
4. Mix matcha powder with a little warm water and stir (whisk) well.
5. Add the match into the pan and stir well, then turn off the heat.
6. Pour the mix (5.) into a glass (fill up 60% of the glass).
6. Allow to cool in the fridge for 30 mins.
7. Pour milk (oat milk or soy milk) into the glass and mix with bubble tea straw and enjoy!
*We recommend to add some brown sugar syrup to taste before drinking.

 [作り方]
事前準備:★茶こしで抹茶をふるいにかける。こうすることでダマが出来にくい抹茶液が出来ます。
★ミルクを室温に戻しておく。もしくは、レンジで20秒ほど温める。

1. 水と粉寒天を鍋に入れて混ぜます。
2. 火にかけて中火で粉寒天が完全に溶けるまで、沸騰してから2分強は煮ましょう。火にかけている間はこまめに混ぜてください。
3. 寒天が完全に溶けたら弱火にして、砂糖を加えます。完全に溶けるまでまぜましょう。
4. 少量のお湯で抹茶をたてます。
5. だまがなくなったら抹茶を寒天液(3.)に注ぎよく混ぜたら火から下ろします。
6. 6割程度入れたら冷蔵庫でよく冷しましょう。
7. ミルクを注いで太めのストローで抹茶寒天を崩しながらお楽しみください。
※お好みで黒蜜を加えるとより美味しくなりますよ!
